Personal Care Assistant - Hourly Services
Purpose: We are seeking a part-time person for this position. He/she will attend to individualized needs to personal health and wellbeing to the Personal Care recipients under the direct supervision of the Hourly Service Supervisor. Need male staff based on relationship needs for the individuals we serve. Must provide assistance with activities of daily living (eating, bathing, dressing, personal hygiene, meal preparation, incidental household cleaning and laundry, etc.) or assistance/accompaniment with instrumental activity of daily living (shopping, banking, budgeting, riding transportation, social and recreational interaction, etc.) as it relates to the individual’s person-centered plan.
Qualifications: Must have a high school diploma or GED, previous experience working with persons with disabilities preferred, a valid Alabama driver’s license and a good driving record, dependable transportation and proof of valid automobile insurance with limits of liability of $50,000 property damage and $100,000 practical liability. Must be able to do moderate lifting. Ability to maintain confidentiality of any information relating to consumers. Must be a team player.

Employment Specialist - Full-time position
Purpose of Position: Coordinate meetings and establish assessment sites to provide a Person Centered Planning team for consumer services. To provide assistance in obtaining gainful employment through job development and partnership with local employers. To provide on-site training that will effectively enable consumers to work independently in competitive employment in the community.
Qualifications: Must have past experience in a responsible position requiring the use of interpersonal skills and working as a team member. Must have two years experience in a training or supervisory capacity. Must have a high school diploma, a valid Alabama driver license, and a good driving record. Must maintain personal vehicle insurance of $100,000 personal liability and $50,000 property liability.
Competencies: Must have good communication and observation skills. Must have the ability to use consistent, effective reinforcement methods and positive modeling techniques to influence consumer behavior and performance. Must have the ability to record data, relate to consumers as well as employers and other employees, and be able to respond constructively to the demands of the job placement. Must be able to enter data into a computer. Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel preferred. May have to do moderate lifting.
Hours: Typical 8:00 am to 4:00 pm daily M-F. However, must be flexible in schedule to work nights and weekends as determined by the job placement and approved by the program coordinator.

Life Skills Coach/Driver - McGraw Center
Purpose: We are seeking a full-time permanent person for this position. He/she will provide direct training and assistance to consumers who attend the program that will enable them to achieve maximum independence. This person will also drive a regular route or substitute for a regular driver in their absence.
Qualifications: Must be 25 years of age, have a high school diploma or GED, a valid Alabama driver’s license and a good driving record. One year experience working with adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities preferred. Must be able to do moderate lifting. Ability to maintain confidentiality of any information relating to consumers, especially all protected health information (PHI), ability to ensure the security of consumers’ PHI. Must be a team player.
